A detailed list of the children of Sir Daudi Chwa II can be found at the pages of this reference: [1] Some of the more notable of those children are:
Since he was enthroned at age one year, he ruled through regents (including Apolo Kagwa) until he attained the age of 18 years. He assumed full Kabaka responsibilities on August 5, 1914. From available accounts, Sir Daudi was a popular king, who was fair, responsible and pragmatic. During his reign, the religious wars abated, the freedom of choice of religion returned to the kingdom and relations with Britain, the colonial power improved. The Kabaka adopted the Protestant faith and was baptized Daudi, which is the Luganda version of David. [2] (Luganda)
He died at his palace at Salaama, a suburb of Kampala, on November 22, 1939 at the age of 43 years. He was buried at Kasubi Nabulagala, the third Kabaka to be buried there.[3]
